The 2009-2010 Membership Form is now available.Coming this fall: Yankee Candle Fundraiser Renowned for their true-life scents, Yankee Candles are a welcomed break from the usual fundraiser products. They make wonderful gifts for birthdays, hostesses, Secretary Day, Christmas etc. With your help, this fundraiser helps our club purchase ice time for our members. Our club earns 40% profit on each candle we sell. Each sellers order comes individually wrapped, making delivery easier for everyone. With your help, WE CAN make this our most profitable year ever for fund raising. Please click on the link to see the new Fall 2009 catalog. More information to follow. MISSION STATEMENT: The San Antonio Figure Skating Club is dedicated to promoting the sport of amateur figure skating, providing continual education and training opportunities for its members and instilling good sportsmanship. Fundraiser for Karen Richards: As some of you may have heard, Karen Richards and her family are having to move to Boston due to Karen's deteriorating health. The club has decided to hold a charitable Fund Raiser to help ease the family through this tough time in their lives. I've emailed the rink to find an available Saturday to purchase ice for a club skate at which time we can collect items for the Richards. They will need warm clothing for this time of year in New England, along with gift cards to places like Hanafords Grocery Store, Walmart or Target, just to name a few. Perhaps you received something for Christmas that you really didn't need. Anyone wishing to organize this will receive volunteer time on their record. Kathy McCullough and Mary Stohs will also be helping, and as soon as the ice time is arranged, they and all of you will be notified. Please find it in your hearts to help this little girl and her family as we are a skating community which watches out for our athletes whether the times are good or, as in this case, not so good.
